Week of Wowbutter and GIVEAWAY!

This week is dedicated to Wowbutter!  My family loves this stuff, especially my severely peanut allergic daughter, Bean.  Since finding out my daughter was allergic to peanuts we have kept a peanut free home.  I really love peanut butter and miss having cookies, PB&J, and other yummy snacks made with peanut butter.  We have tried other peanut alternative spreads like sunflower butter and almond butter.  I really didn’t like how they would separate, spread, or the consistency of them.

I just happened to be shopping at Whole Foods about a year and a half ago, and saw Wowbutter on the shelf.  It looked like peanut butter in the jar.  I thought, why not?   When I got it home, I showed Bean what I got for her.  She wasn’t very enthused, because she really never liked the alternative ones that I bought in the past.  So I opened it and it smelled just like peanut butter!  So I got out a spoon, and tried some.  It tasted like peanut butter and even stuck to the roof of my mouth.  I instantly fell in love.  Bean agreed to try it and she loved it too!  My younger daughter tried some too and also loved it.  It has become a staple in our house.  All of the things I couldn’t eat before, I can have again, and my daughter can have too!  So many things she was missing out on, she can have now.  Any recipe that calls for peanut butter, I have used Wowbutter as a substitute.  They have all come out fantastic!

  2. Thank you for the delicious giveaway! One of my sons is allergic to peanuts and Wowbutter is a new product we’re going to try with him. If I won the giveaway, I’d make these Peanut Butter Crescent Rolls with Wowbutter:

    1 package of Crescent Rolls

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Roll out Crescent Rolls to form 8 triangles.
Spread 1 Tbsp. of Peanut Butter on each triangle.

    Place on 13X9 baking sheet
Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown

    1 cup WOWBUTTER
    1 cup sugar (granulated)
1 large egg (or egg substitute)

    Preheat oven 350°F.
Mix sugar and egg together, then add WOWBUTTER. That’s it. Now form into 1″ balls an press with fork. Dip fork in a little sugar so it won’t stick.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350°F.

Add chocolate chips, raisins, M&M’S® – be creative!

    Makes 1 dozen cookies.

  5. I would use Wowbutter in an easy, delicious cream and chocolate pie!

    1 jar Wowbutter
    1 small tub Cool Whip
1 graham cracker pie crust (store bought or homemade)

Mix the Wowbutter with the Cool Whip until combined completely. Transfer to the graham cracker crust and chill in the fridge or freezer for at least an hour.

Remove from the fridge and top with a layer of chocolate fudge sauce. Drizzle with extra Wowbutter in a criss-cross pattern over the fudge if desired. Return to chill in the fridge to set overnight before serving.

  6. WOWBUTTER cookies

    1 cup butter 2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup chunky WOWBUTTER 1 tsp baking powder
1 cup sugar 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup brown sugar 1/2 tsp salt
    2 eggs

Cream butter, WOWBUTTER, sugars and eggs until smooth. Combine dry ingredients and add to butter/sugar mixture a little at a time until well blended. Cover with pastic wrap and chill for at least 4 hours to overnight. Roll tablespoons of dough into balls, place 3 inches apart on a lightly greased or parchment covered cookie sheet. ( I prefer parchment.) Dip the tines of a fork in flour and use to flatten the dough balls in a criss-cross pattern. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 10 minutes.

  7. Wowbutter and fruit…. not much of a receipe but tastes wonderful!

  8. Wow Butter Better Then Ever Fudge

    1 1/4 cups unsalted butter
    1 1/4 cups Wow Butter
    1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    4 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Spray an 8inch baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
In a medium pan heat the butter and Wow Butter over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat.

Add the snoops and the powdered sugar and stir until smooth.

Poor the mixture into the baking dish. Smooth the top with plastic wrap and cover.
Refrigerate until completely cool and set. Cut into 48 pieces. Can be stored at room temperature or even tastes great right out of the freezer. Warning!.!.!.!….this fudge is very tasty and hard to eat only one piece. :). Enjoy.
