Throwing up in her mouth…

My daughter, Bean, has been doing something she calls “throwing up in her mouth” for the last few months. We tried stopping her allergy and asthma meds to see if that could have been the cause. It wasn’t, so I took her to the pediatrician. The ped said it was reflux and put her on Prevacid. After two months of being on the Prevacid, she is still throwing up in her mouth, just not as frequently. We were referred to a pediatric gastro doctor.
We saw the gastric doc this past Tuesday, and after hearing everything, he has decided to do a Upper Endoscopy. She will have the procedure done on May 20th.
I’m scared and worried. This is my daughter, my world, we are talking about. I know how much she hates needles and how she is going to freak out over the IV. I am also scared to truly find out what could be going on in her little tummy.

Please keep her in your prayers.

About Annie

I have a daughter with a severe peanut allergy. She was diagnosed when she was 2. She is 11 now. I have lived the battles of having a child with food allergies, and feel education and awareness makes all the difference.

Oh no! Kevin gets reflux from dairy. He always had it and thought it was normal. He went on a plant based diet (no dairy) to lose weight and was surprised to find his reflux was gone. It came back when he started eating dairy again, and went away when he stopped once again. Hopefully B’s is nothing serious!
